Summer veg is all nice and dandy but basic survival food is perennial winter food, nuts and fruit. At 8000 calories per litre, I just stashed about 1 million calories of extra virgen olive oil, 5kgs olivas muertas - that's about 600kgs of pressed olives and 20kgs of almonds. Chickens need imported feed to lay at full speed but if it ever got ugly, they can get by on forage and keep us in eggs. Meat is obviously another source of food :) but, here's an unpopular observation - if it's in the deep freeze, that doesn't count as secure food. If value for value #v4v is legit, then the content creator is acting out of need to create, and zapping is a personal reaction. The way zaps are displayed and promoted, v4v is in danger of being a jumping on the bandwagon gimmick. Seeing a mega sats count for a post puts me off zapping. The post has been validated, well done, moving on. I get the validation value of seeing a high paid post, so I'm not dissing the concept of zapping, but displaying how many #sats are received for a post is rather vulgar, nouveau riche. Why not display number of zaps and not the value? This also adds to #privacy Contrarían view from someone finding their way.

During a mid life crisis in 2016, I tried to self learn a few chords on a crappy €50 strat copy. In 2017 I started recording stuff into my computer through a cheapo soundcard. This is an example. I still have no idea where it came from or how to play it. Then I bought a second hand copy of the guitar Angus Young plays/ed, scuffed it up a bit and recorded a track home alone. That felt better. I eventually plucked up the courage to play the recording to a time-served rock and blues man who had given me a couple of lessons. Half way through he turned it off and asked “Where the hell did this come from?” I answered, “The first lesson, you asked me if I wanted to learn music or tracks. Remember, I chose music?” He smiled, said I'd played a couple of notes he couldn't reproduce on his guitar and put the headphones back on. I still have no idea where it came from and apart from a couple of chords, I still couldn't play it again. Having bared my soul I will now retire to my room and die inside! We are still very very early. Sharpest insight this week was that people use social media apps for the community not the tech. Going 100% on nostr is perhaps a good move for bitcoin and nostr Devs and influencers. But is this community open and big enough to support the growers, artists and makers? We shall see.

its getting fuzzy again for me with relays and permanent forever files kept on Nostr. I'm seeing relay delete options, and just read a file server opo deletes files once you stop paying. On the other hand, the story is Nostr forever, someone somewhere will always be able to serve up your content. are there different ways of uploading media to nostr so some is permanent and others not so? I'ts late, I don't know, I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering how a company on Nostr can go out of business but the content somehow is there for someone else to run with... Is it beholden on us to make a copy of every URL? Do I need to run a relay for it to become obvious how it all works?

Prior to 2019, there was a 20 year period of policy that tolerated growing inequality, compounded by austerity started in 2010. A consistent period of compounded lack of care for the old or the poor or the health service. Then Brexit was used as the distraction in 2016. The EU was not on anyone's radar in 2016 UK. This is a classic example of how the media and govt colluded to tell a nation what to think about while they are being hammered from every angle. Old women and babies were dying at greater rates than ever because of politicians' policies, meanwhile politicians were blaming morality rates on the weather.

Have you noticed that everybody's phone is set up different? They might all work the same, but there is some quirk or other that cases mayhem when "trying to help". The volume button is where your off button is, things like that.

So if Nostrbuild are doing the same with images, I will go for a creator plan with nostrbuild instead of a basic plan, and send some sats to venice for their help so far!

does this basic graphic make sense? Without privacy there is no open internet of information. To ensure privacy we now have Nostr private communication and Bitcoin private money, and convenient cryptographic tools to interact with the two protocols. The end result is greater productivity and AI is potentially under control, or at least whatever info and data it pumps out has to go through the privacy and proof filters. Something like that!

Persist with Nostr semantic pedantics and Nostr will not grow as fast as it could. The wide world understands platform, accounts, app, server, password, username. It currently doesn't much care for protocols, relays, clients, nPubs, nSecs, Nips. For crying out loud, Nips! Nobody who you want to use Nostr cares what a Nip is, any more than I want to know what makes my car work. Just saying. I was listening to #BenArc explaining Nostr to #MrObnoxious. He practically invented this place but there is no elevator big enough to take that pitch. It was a big kick in the ass for me. So thanks Mr Ark. I am preparing a "For dummies" text to guide prospective visitors into signing up to Nostr so they can access the Nostr features I have integrated into a new website. Gotta pitch it so your disinterested 80 year old mother ends up pushing you out the way to sign up!
