Limiting free speech has one benefit: Once you start to demand borders you then need an authority to patrol them. This moves the issue into the arena of subjectivity, which is a centralised powers dream bc THEY get to define what is and isn’t permissible. Shortly after, it is the truth that is deemed to be hate speech and prohibited.
