Being physically fit will not magically make all your problems go away... but it sure can prevent a lot of bad things (injury, illness, being overweight, loneliness, death). A pull up bar and the discipline to use it may be one of the best investments you can make. Proverbs 23:23 #investment #advice #fitness #discipline

Yesterday, I helped a customer of mine migrate from using #Google #Chrome to #firefox. Also, at her request, changed the default search engine from Google to #duckduckgo ( not perfect, I know, but less obnoxious than Google, in my opinion ). Her husband decided to replace his aging laptop with one of my refurbished #HP #ProBook laptops with #Linux ( Linux Mint Debian Edition ). Small steps in the right direction.

On #netbsd, created just a root user, so create a user for myself with `useradd -m -G wheel matthew` Installed #neovim with `pkgin install neovim`, which came with #Lua as a dependency, so now Lua is installed, too. Just messing around to say I have made some progress towards my tech goals. The installer was no problem in ProxMox. I have done it before, so didn't have to look anything up. The NetBSD documentation is good, though, for finding things. Man pages are good. Eventually, I'll try something more ambitious, such as installing the #Cinnamon desktop on NetBSD. For right now, I'm fine with messing around on the command line and learning how to use #pkgsrc and experiment with server software, notes and programming. image

Anyone here use or experiment with the Thorium browser ( #chromium fork ) or Mercury browser ( #firefox fork ) ? I stumbled across them the other day and plan on giving them a try soon. Curious if anyone uses them as a primary web #browser on the daily. Or experimented with it on the side. https://thorium.rocks/

Keyboard shortcut for web browsers that I stumbled across recently: To switch to the third tab, press Alt + 3. And so on. Alt + 9 switches to the last tab, not necessarily the ninth. Now that I know this, I use it all the time. I put tabs in a certain order and use Alt + [number] to quickly go to the desired tab.
