There’s an entire category of bitcoiner that adopted all traits of other bitcoiners (toxic maximalism, hating shitcoins, eating steak, etc.), but they have no actual clue how bitcoin works and will jump on any crusade to “defend bitcoin” against perceived threats without any clue what they’re doing.

In a few years, when everyone is sick of their antics and drama, all the Knots users will have abandoned ship and gone back to Bitcoin Core.

If you think filtering is necessary to protect block space from being overridden with “spam,” you either don’t understand or disagree with bitcoin game theory as designed by Satoshi Nakamoto.

There’s no such thing as spam on bitcoin, if it’s a valid transaction and pays a market-clearing rate for inclusion into a block.
