Whatever anybody thinks about Core v30 tacitly formatting Bitcoin as an immutible memory module for shitcoins-through-to-palantir (they should be gently tarred and feathered imho), my technical estimation is that Lukedashjr et al don't have anywhere near the competence to maintain a primary codebase, and their chronic behavioursl patterns will now deter professional engineers from wanting to work with them. The best way forward would be for Core to roll back or somehow fudge the data-carrier-size to make it smaller or fuzzy. The price will keep dumping until this is fixed. This probably wont be a bad thing because there will once again be some economic incentive for a new generation of engineers to get involved in the project. What everyone else needs to do is buy cheap mining hardware as the price goes down.
