Went to the Eco Park in Kuala Lumpur today with the missus and got ambushed by 10 of these fucking things on the canopy walk. They hang off the top of the suspension bridges and swipe at you, make sounds and show their teeth off. I used my hat to whack a few of them so we could get to the other side but the other tourists watching were too scared to cross and went back. What is it with macaques man?! Aggressive little bastards View quoted note →

Anyone who understands #Bitcoin recognises how frail Real Estate is. Months to sell a property, non-fungible so values are magicked up based on “comparable sales in the area”, constant maintenance costs, pretty much the entire market is on leverage versus mostly outright owned Bitcoin, and that thin market doesn’t allow owners to get out - they just bleed and bleed and bleed when everyone bolts for the exit. When RE bursts, it’s going to take years to recover. After the 1893 Bank Crash in Australia it took 70 years. And most won’t know it til they’re upside down trapped with negative equity in their mortgages all whilst unemployment is shooting up and Govs flail hopelessly trying to do something. When Bitcoin goes parabolic and overheats it crashes for a year and then goes back up. Traded instantly 24x7, it’s the thickest pool of liquidity on earth already and we can all see what’s happening all the time, able to react. The wealth effect in RE is illusory; they expected NGU for ever and can’t take a drawdown. Bitcoiners knew it would be volatile but see dips as accumulation opportunities and HODL because everything favours their lower time preference. image

First time on a plane in 6 months, apparently they banned the use of powerbanks? You can have it and use it when you get on, but can’t use it once moving and can’t leave it in overhead compartment.. WTF is that about?

As I wrote before: “We haven’t even begun to see the value in #Bitcoin’s ability to be borderless, but when the sovereign game theory begins to play out as fiat systems crumble, this may be the killer feature which drives hyperbitcoinisation as the wealthy seek to move their families to safety whilst bringing their wealth with them.” Evil little parasites like Philip exist everywhere throughout the West. No amount of redistribution will ever satisfy them. And when Government’s act on their impulse, we’re gonna find out.. image View quoted note →

The only people I would work for, would also work for me in a heartbeat. Anyone who thinks AI is going to destroy the labour market has never seen this dynamic IRL. People develop relationships and trust other people, that’s how people work. They want people they can trust whose skills they value in their circle. Many don’t necessarily care who is in charge; who is on top and who is underneath. They want to work with purpose towards a mission and the hierarchy doesn’t matter if they have the autonomy to deliver towards a goal they buy in to. These human dynamics are 100X more interesting than the latest LLM which is 0.63% better than the previous generation.

The third, fourth tier BTC influencooor I’ve blocked this week, who is “just asking questions” about Kaspa. I can’t remember the account but a Rajat Soni CFA “knockoff” was another. KAS is clearly putting money in to try convert Bitcoiners to their shitcoin. I don’t know if these accounts were genuinely Bitcoiners or not and frankly IDGAF - they’re scamming and obviously getting paid to do so. image
