The problem for the US and Americans with Trump’s rhetoric and positioning is everyone thought you were “allies”. Sure you were the stronger big brother in these relationships, but your jerk behaviour seemingly was directed externally allowing those allies to sell a narrative, which their people bought, that you were fundamentally their friends and acting in everyone’s best interests.
The problem for the those “allies” and their people; Brits, Canadians, Australians, Kiwis, Koreans, Japanese, and the various European peoples, is without that veil, the narratives don’t hold. The people can’t pretend you’re friends when you’re bullying them relentlessly and actively making their lives worse.
When the US was secretly funding anti-nuclear movements in the West to maintain their petrodollar system, you got away with it because you weren’t rubbing peoples noses in it. It was subtle. Only a few understood what you were truly doing. As a result, very few amongst those allied countries disliked or opposed the US.
Now you’ve got Trump talking and acting like this and all subtlety is gone. Even retarded leftists can see what you’re doing. Nobody needs to connect dots anymore, they just need to listen to Trump and Friends and it’s immediately clear that you’re not allies, you’re Suzerains who are no longer able to bully the world but are unable to stop being bullies, and have decided to beat up on those kid brothers instead.
US elites have determined that if you can’t have the global reserve currency, you can at least force the Dollar on your vassals under the assumption you’d be able to uphold a narrative like you used to, that US actions are actually good and in the interests of their allies too.
I really don’t think it’s going to work any more. The pretences which shaped perceptions have been dropped and the jerk behaviour is now too obvious. Even if Obama came back for a third term, too much has shifted now.
Yet they’re going to do it anyway and seem to think shoving it down peoples throats will work because you’ve still got aircraft carriers.. That’s not how the world works in 2026.
Once the little brothers realise they don’t need to put up with your blackeyes any more, Americans are going to be the last ones left holding the bag for the dollar Ponzi. Sure it will be painful for those “allies”, they could even end up worse off with their own incompetent parasites in charge and I have already actively exited this sphere because I only see things getting worse.
But Americans have by far the most to lose here yet they don’t seem to know it. When you’re on top, you’ve got farthest to fall. When you’ve alienated all your “friends” and can’t put on a friendly face between the beatings, no-one will care if you implode and tear yourselves apart.
This will not be a good century to be an American.
