"What gives you hope?"
Honestly, it's mainly Bitcoin. "Bitcoin fixes this" isn't just a meme. There are SO MANY problems caused by fiat inflation, fiat enabled state, inflation distorted culture and social values, and even things like censorship, transaction freedom, walled off financial payments, etc etc etc.
Bitcoin fixes SO many things.

Vesper is one of those movies that you only have to watch until the end because you already started it and you figure the time will pass by eventually. Slow, boring, not much of a plot, and a pretty ridiculous premise with regards to "we're short on resources, that's why you're excluded from fancy cities." The movie poster makes it more exciting and interesting than it actually is.
Trezor is testing CoinJoin that works from the Trezor Suite and keeps your coins on your Trezor.
It works well. Hopefully all the kinks are ironed out and it goes public soon.

People here posting "Invoice me for zaps!"
And I'm just thinking "Hey, you ain't stacking those sats ๐"
If you're young, live Shikabane, stack max sats.

Eh, this is definitely not Twitter. The app (Amethyst) is a bit bogged and slow, I'm lucky to have a server relay I can run myself, otherwise loading my account like a serverless pleb doesn't even bring up my posts, and there's no way to search conversations that I can find.
But it's a start at least. Feels like I'm in early beta of something big.

The reason they say "economics isn't a science" is because they don't want scientific arguments when these guys come up with their pro BIG government ideas.
