Nostr is a place where guys who keep telling everyone to "stack sats!" come to not stack sats. Zap!⚡

Decided to prove this is really me with good ol' public key cryptography in my bio. Except instead of PGP, I signed it with a very old Bitcoin address of mine. One of the nice features in Mycelium Wallet I used to work for, and a nice feature of Bitcoin having time-provable blocks.

Anyone have any ideas how BitPay would even track this? I connect nodes to wallet-owned nodes so their users will route through my nodes and pay me fees, but that also means that, as far as BitPay knows, my payments are coming from those wallets if they're the out-routes too. Am I right?

One thing I'm noticing switching between Nostr and Twitter: the quality and intellect of posts is way higher on Nostr. There are no idiots to make fun of or poke arguments at. Dumbdumbs and entitled leftists are all over Twitter, but don't have the knowledge, or time preference, to get on here. So Nostr self selects for the most skilled and informed people.

"What gives you hope?" Honestly, it's mainly Bitcoin. "Bitcoin fixes this" isn't just a meme. There are SO MANY problems caused by fiat inflation, fiat enabled state, inflation distorted culture and social values, and even things like censorship, transaction freedom, walled off financial payments, etc etc etc. Bitcoin fixes SO many things.
