New public geospatial datasets from NASA’s OPERA program. “Scientists conceived OPERA in 2020 to address satellite data needs across different federal agencies and to enable better access to information on everything from water management to wildfire monitoring. (…) The goal is to make specific satellite-based observations free and timely for users. The first offerings will be available in April 2023, with more to follow.”

I am cat sitting and the book I am reading has a drone cat. Would that make cat sitting easier or harder?
This is what a drone cat might look like. 😆Today I’m curious about the Steam game Terra Nil (spinning off thoughts from the book reading).. saw this article (
but wondering if other folks have checked it out

Terra Nil Is Optimistic Climate Fiction with a Dark Side
Terra Nil from Free Lives is a game about bringing life back to a barren world, but this is optimistic climate fiction has a dark side.

First post to start the group is on YouTube:

(7/7) And just as suddenly, the moment passed. Retracting her galaxy umbrella into the cuff of her sleeve, Madz took one more breath before collecting herself. It was time to set off to discover the wonders of this new landscape. She felt propelled forward by what she had seen, believing it to be a good omen for her journey.
(6/7) As the storm began to subside, Madz looked up at the sky and saw that the shooting stars had stopped. But in their place, a beautiful display of stars and galaxies twinkled above her. The rag tag group of travelers that had congregated let out a gasp, almost in unison. The thin air reverberated with their deep collective hum. Madz smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude for the opportunity to witness such a breathtaking sight and to experience the fleeting sense that she was connected to these strangers.
(5/7) As she continued to walk through the storm, Madz realized that she was not alone. There were other travelers braving the elements, each with their own unique shelters and devices. Looking around, she felt a special connection to her galaxy umbrella, and she couldn't help but feel a sense of pride in her choice.
(4/7) The storm was not just rain and wind. Madz soon realized that the flashes of light were not just lightning, but shooting stars raining down from the sky. She had never seen anything like it before, and she was in awe of the spectacle unfolding before her. Her umbrella cocoon was being illuminated and transformed with the magical bright streaks, resembling a breathtaking work of art rather than mere functional protection. The tiny hairs on Madz limbs felt alive with wonder in the energy of the moment.
(3/7) As the storm intensified, Madz opened the umbrella and held it high above her head. Within milliseconds, a flexible, private bubble of a transparent material encapsulated her. It was large enough to cover her entire body, and she felt an instant sense of comfort knowing that she was protected from the elements.
(2/7) But Madz was prepared for this journey. She had brought with her a special umbrella, one that she had purchased at a market on a distant planet many years ago. It was a galaxy umbrella, with stars and planets swirling across its surface. Madz had always loved the way it looked, but she never imagined she would need to use it for its intended purpose.
A short story (1/7): As she stepped off the spaceship onto the unfamiliar terrain, Madhuri Signý Marcia ("Madz" to her friends) felt a sense of excitement and fear all at once. She had always been drawn to adventure, and this planet was like nothing she had ever seen before. The sky was dark and stormy, with flashes of light illuminating the rocky landscape beneath her feet
