The age of talking about Bitcoin is over. Welcome to the age of using it!
Step aside meetups, podcasts and conferences, make space for Block Parties, Bitcoin villages and avenues!
I put together a Lightning Candy Dispenser today with the help of some friends. $5 hardware to Lightningfy any device, absolutely powerful thing. As usual, I’m at awe of the inventor of the Lightning Switch, Ben Arc. Hi Ben!
Is it just me or is this summer slump worse than usual? No activity or energy anywhere to be found, no drama, no politics, barely anything! Am I just unusually active this August, what did I do in previous years around this time?
It’s disheartening to see the state of #Bitcoin commerce solutions. But not surprising at all, given how even Bitcoiners prefer to use credit card payments. No users -> no investment -> no products -> no adoption. If Bitcoin fails, it’s because of us Bitcoiners.
Sure, Bitcoin will go up in price with or without merchant adoption, but imagine just how much more valuable it can be as the money of choice of everyone. And that’s even more relevant for human freedom.
What’s good node etiquette? How often are you allowed to nag your peer about their neglected Lightning node? How often do you _have to_ nag them before it’s acceptable to force close? If you gifted a channel, can you take it back?
It’s always very sad to encounter an abandoned Lightning node, especially when there are services connected to it. There are tons of tools out there that
can help monitor uptime and channel liquidity, if you want to earn sats routing, or you are using your node to make or receive payments, ask me for tips, but don’t just leave it!
