Remarkable that the Paris metro has Spanish announcements, but the Barcelona metro does not.

@fiatjaf Was the code for your /codec utility ever open source? The Lightning Decoder seems to work differently. It was quite a valuable resource to me and I wonder if I can run it myself
You can still buy Bitcoin at Swiss Railway ticketing machines, given you have a local mobile phone number and are willing to pay the hefty premium

Dinner on the Eurocity 30 to Zurich. You might be better off getting food in town, but nothing beats that atmosphere.

Incredible art, barely 500 years old. Look how Niccolo dell’Arca captures facial expressions at a time when statues were expected to be stoic and calm

Today I went to Rovigo to spend some sats and it was a total disaster:

Trip Report: Rovigo \ stacker news
Rovigo is a small industrial town south of Venice. It's big enough to be a node in the high-speed train system. I had never heard about Rovigo befo...
I’m going to Rovigo tomorrow. I don’t know anybody there. Here’s a list I made from BTCMaps of all the places I expect to take Bitcoin. How many of them can I visit while also getting work done?

We need better cypherpunk aesthetics, but with a renaissance background.

Everything is ephemeral. Only Rome is eternal

Markets respond to regulatory pressure, exhibit #672: Limoncello in 100ml bottles

What a beautiful place to spend some sats in

Very impressed with v1 of LNBits. Runs smoothly, has tons of admin controls and looks super slick. One of the most exciting projects in Bitcoin, and with tons of Nostr features.
Now who wants to send me some signet sats?

I’m looking for somebody to connect with in the Bitcoin community of Rovigo. Have you been? Know anyone who has? Or even live there?
Lucky find in Bologna. Getting the lunch I want, then paying for it with sats gives me incredible joy

Bought a gift card with Lightning, checked the comments and the only two reviews were from a friend and me from last year.

I did not expect a new cycle like this!
Bitcoin was never “fine.”
It always had to be fought for, it only got this far because of the sacrifices of developers, entrepreneurs and users. We can’t afford to just lean back and ignore all threats. We’re fighting on many fronts, and it’s not always looking bright:
Censorship, privacy, scalability, and maybe most frustrating to me: Adoption.
A stockpile is the lumber outside your factory waiting to be processed.
A strategic reserve is the forest you maintain for future generations.
Who will be the first to implement a custodial “satoshi test” just to mess with Coinbase LOL
