Im doing a talk at Denver BitDevs in about 2.5 hours! This is a really cool species, which can either produce mushrooms if the conditions are ideal, or it can produce something called "stones" in less-than-ideal condition. The label printer has been making daily improvements as well, so I'm pretty happy with how the label is printing with the logo. 🥳 #mushstr #mushrooms #growinginpublic

How to identity contamination in mushroom cultures: The right one at first glance looks ok, but if you look closer you can see some strange non-mycelium looking dots. The next two pictures are close ups of the right and left. You can even see a little condensation nearby the right one, which is a sign of the heat produced by bacteria. Final note: this Petri dish was of a clone of a mushroom, which is known to be unclean, so in this situation this was expected, and I was successfully able to transfer the clean mycelium to a new plate where it will thrive.

I just ordered my first sticker for marketing, and to include with orders. Spent a good chunk of time with those AI decorative QR code makers, but it was difficult to achieve results as good as the sample images. Ended up using a more basic Python QR generator.
