Going to the physical store to buy something for my business is probably about 90% a waste of time. Pros: 1. You “maybe” get your item today 2. You get a good opportunity to drive and listen to some #bitcoin podcasts Cons: 1. Item not stocked, but website was unclear 2. Spend 15 minutes looking around the store for the item you want. 3. Buying something that is “close but not perfect”, and in the end you have to order it again online anyways. 4. Taking the time to drive, and wait in traffic Take the time to do your research at home, and order it online!

Odd Lots podcast about energy usage of AI datacenters. I don’t understand how one could do this podcast and get worked up about AI datacenter loads, but not mention a few very relevant things. 1. I don’t have the numbers but I’m pretty sure that electric vehicles are/will be a vastly greater use of electricity 2. Lots of talk of flexible loads, even a mention of “virtual power plant”, but zero mention of #bitcoin. 0. They even talk about “how can we incentivize electrical utilities to build out electrical generation before a buyer exists”. Gosh the answer is right there. My bet the #BTC market top occurs right at the moment that Tracey gets over her irrational fear of mean Bitcoin maximalists and becomes “interested in bitcoin’s potential” #fountain #v4v

Delayed while leaving the homeland of Jefferson: Virginia. I used to live in in the town next to Monticello (Jeffersons House), Charlottesville, and I got to go visit for the week this week. I had to make a pilgrimage to Monticello while I was there, and I also happen to be reading "Creature from Jekyll Island" in the exact part where they are going over monetary history in the US. I didnt really know that Jefferson was such the champion of sound money that he was.... Very interesting. I have deployed my bostr relay (publicly) and connected to it with my Damus. Works great! Within a few moments though, "10 clients are connected to this bouncer". Who are you people??

I opened up this petri dish a week ago or so to make some liquid culture (LC) and just left it to the side. Came back to it today and saw the plate is pinning! The boost in oxygen triggered pinning I guess.

Some more small success with Ps Cyan. This time with just a bag of chips and coco coir! These little skinny pins look nothing like what this mushroom looks like when grown outdoors, but good to get confirmation of what they look like growing on two different substrates. #science #nature #dicks

#zap tool that I want and maybe I’ll get around to building: So Damus iOS doesn’t let you zap notes, which kind of sucks. I’d like to have a server running which watches for my “liking/reacting” to things, and it will automatically zap the post that I liked. I think this has benefits greater than just Apple being stupid. Sometimes you don’t have your lightning node setup to be accessible by your phone. #zapathon
