After having some time to think this past week, starting to doubt rolling my own environment controller tech…
Obviously it is possible for one to do themselves, the hardware is relatively cheap and powerful. But big players are out there doing it already.
Looking at all the cool AC Infinity stuff available, (shout out to Mike at
@The Space for showing me his setup).
Chances of my tech becoming mass marketable is relatively low.
I’m making tech that scratches my itch, but does it scratch a lot of people itches? Idk. Also I’m not sure if I want to help everybody learn to grow with the claim that “it’s easy the tech does everything”. No the tech never does everything. It always requires work.
On the other hand, I can myself buy into established technology and leverage it to make me more productive. And allow myself to #focus on providing real value to more people.
The number of people in need of mushroom based products is much much much higher than the need for mushroom growing technology.
@Guy Swann and his recent podcast helped me get toward this conclusion. I’m not sure if it is settled but that’s where my head is at.
