Bolsheviks used to depict everything they were fighting against as "bourgeois"
Today's bolsheviks depict everything they oppose as "right-wing extremism" and "far-right"

Bitcoin, books and tech.
How dare you not accept that inflation is nothing but price increases pushed by Putin's war and greedy corporation ?
You little right-wing climate-burning extremists !!

Bitcoin's recent price action is weird ๐ค
Though I believe that everybody has a chance to steer his life in whatever direction he wants (individual responsibility), I'm still amazed by the "randomness" factor that hangs over our lives in the shape of the available opportunities of our age and how we come to grasp them.
Bitcoin is the opportunity of my age. And I came to realize this thanks to my curiosity, humility and ability to filter the signal from the noise.
I planned to go to Bitcoin Amsterdam this year. Unfortunately, the growing shitcoin culture that seems to be taking over Bitcoin Magazine (Udi invitation in Miami, Ordinals apology, their cringy twitter posts) dissuaded me from giving them my hard-earned money.
First read your books.
Then, select those that were original enough to make considerable impact on you, those that introduced a new aperture in your mind.
Finally, study the selected books, deeply absorb their ideas, commit them to your memory, to your deeper self.
Studying a book that made a huge impact on your development > Reading shallowly a new book.
Just a croatian mini-market charging a whopping 9 euros for a pack of water bottles (something that costs 2~4 euros across Europe)
Outrageous scamming.

My simple social interaction protocol :
1) Assume the person is stupid and wicked
2) Wait for proof / cues they aren't
Can't wait for bitcoiners vindication against Nassim Taleb. That despicable piece of shit is in the top of my list of people that need be humbled by bitcoin.
I believe that most of the climate hysteria is rooted on white people's cultural dislike of high temperatures and their personal preference for cold weather

My holidays in Croatia (Split, Hvar, Dubrovnik) are coming to an end.
Positives
1) Beautiful country
2) Nice weather
Negatives
1) Scammer mentality : starting 2023, Croatia adopted the Euro. Instead of just converting the prices from Kuna to Euro following the official exchange rate, most merchants jumped on the opportunity to rise prices (up to 50% in some cases) and scam people, especially to milk unsuspecting tourists. Ex : a taxi drive from Dubrovnik Port to my hotel would have cost me 18euros. Fortunately, my gf suggested using Uber, which meant that I ended up paying... 4 euros, because the price is determined by the algorithm leaving no room for the taxi scammers.
I live in France (minimum wage = 1200e), and life is cheaper there than Croatia (minimum wage = 600e). Doesn't make sense.
2) Cold, unfriendly people : croatians I came across didn't make me feel welcomed. They rarely smile or look at you straight in the eyes. They seemed like cold robots who don't give a fuck that you are visiting their country.
Primal app on iOS is pretty slick !!

Re-reading your favorite books is a much better choice than picking a new book.

It's fascinating how something as amorphous as bitcoin (which is physically nothing but informational bits written on disks in thousands of nodes) get to have its own pop culture colour : Orange

If your current bitcoin use case is savings, you barely need to use your hardware wallet (aside from wallet setup and few send/receive tests)
Once you get generate your address and export your xpub, import it in Sparrow (connected to your own node) using a Watch-Only wallet.
You then proceed to generate receive addresses from Sparrow each time you stack sats, and that's about it.
Stacked sats after my morning coffee.
What a great way to start the week.
For the OGs,
How do you cope with buying bitcoin at 30K knowing you did acquire it in the past at 3K ?
