Rather surprised to have a barn spider still looking fat and happy under the pergola on the house. She is a big-un and has ample food still given the 50f temps that are abnormally warm for us now. The engine is out again. I'm getting good at this now, specially by myself being able to move the weighted hoist in the gravel. It's looking like the rear main is the culprit for which I will be ordering OEM this time to hopefully ensure a proper fit and it NOT blowing out on me in 2 weeks. Stoked on the new version of the Flies of the NW book. Much nicer than my old one and all in color now. Going to a tying class today at the Fly Shop and will hand out some bobbin holders I have printed out. The sheep are WAY WAY happier now with the bridge over the mud I made for them. Made it to ND yesterday. Really it is such an insanely flat state and you can see for miles in any direction. The lack of trees helps you to see so far. The west side of the state has a ton of oil rigs still working. Pretty big "mehhhh" day yesterday. The coyote was back and the shotgun scared it off ony to have it snag our neighbor's chicken. Traps are set for it in hopes. Lots of snowflake prints done and need a lot more for the next craft fair. It's called Fall because LEAF FALL DOWN! The maples have dumped all their leaves and the tunnel looks pretty nifty right now. The burn pile got going and will get revived today, found snowflakes to print out, and got a fly tied. Just amazing the amount and variety of mushrooms all over the farm. Within a 10 foot radius there were over 10 different, and that was just one litte area. They really like the moss as many were popping through the layer, but some were just pushing pine needles up. Wet and not freezing makes for the perfect conditions for the fungus to be exploding all around the farm. Just in this one area I could see 8 different fungus species. Pain and Rain... Fun day yesterday... It's taking forever for the inflammation to go down and it was rather disconcerting to feel the tendons squeak as they moved in my arm. Compression and immobilization has helped so this morning it's not nearly as painful. Rainy day yesterday that lead to a killer sunset. His bass guitar is here and he LOVES it. One of the best instruments to be practiced in a small house, I can take the sound of bass all day compared to a wind instrument. Despite my body being trashed and in pain I got a few things done yesterday or at least prepared. The truck is ready to be taken apart and I still need to move the hoist in. The garden is gradually getting winterized with only a few rows left to deal with. Kale and chard can handle the frosts so are still looking super strong while hte beans rows need to be pulled. The peppers came out of hte freeze dryer perfect and need to get another batch going soon.
