Morning #Nostr Yesterday morning I finally got the answer to "wtf is this pain coming from?" after the xray at the dentist showed a large abscess under a tooth. I'm so happy to finally have an answer and to have the antibiotics to help reduce the volume of it and with it reduce the amount of pain my head is in. I spent my day trying to avert the pain and working with the #3dprinter. It was dark when I remembered to hook up the trailer for the grain run I've done this morning already. Spokane is MUCH nicer to move around at 5am when there is ZERO traffic and the stop lights are all nicely sensored. #homesteading #relief #hive #peakd #dailyblog

I would be forever and ever and ever in the angel's debt that were to suddenly provide me with one of the Intermittent segmental traction tables that would all but eliminate my need to go to a chiro.... I'm still recovering from the water line fiasco so yesterday was a much lighter work load day. Finished backfilling the immense hole and leveled it best I could. The new handle for the maul is quite nice and it is a serious benefit to have the beast back in action as it is really good at splitting. My truck heater blower was sounding like a cat being flayed alive and thankfully the new came in and was a very easy swap. Mornin #Nostr I got the water line fixed yesterday and thankfully it was a simple repair. Just the 90 and coupler with a stub of pipe between and it was back together. I had to do a bit of digging beneath the valve to ensure it would line up right but once together I was able to backfill the hole in. 5 hours to dig it and 20 minutes to fill it in... The wood rounds are now in the yard and ready for splitting but they seem to have taken on some water weight while sitting on the hillside. The meters on my radio are all pegged now anytime a station is transmitting. It is night and day difference from the disc cone and I felt my grandfather's gentle nudging from beyond as I built it. Now I know how the printer head comes apart. Rather stoked on how my antenna mount is coming together. I will have up to 70 degrees of elevation possible with the YAGI thugh that will have to be done by hand until I make a motor for it. The tower is my big problem now and how to get it mounted. The logs went for a ride down the hill and some got serious speed up before careening into the fence at the bottom. Mornin #Nostr Cold mornings these days as Winter is setting in fully. Yesterday I got my ski wax vises put together and am anxious to give them a try, SUPER nice NOT paying $100 for a set and just printing them out. I'm mulling over how best to attach the #antenna tower to the chimney top as the masonry on the top likely wouldn't support anchors. I think the cinder blocks of the chimney might but that would require building a platform to attach down the chimney sides. It likely will be my best option as I can bolt the tower hinges to the metal platform... I'm really blown away by my new headlamp. It's so bright I could easily provide light for a climber on a wall while sitting at the base. $40 and the thing runs on 18650 cells which I have 100s of. Well, the antenna is together and I tested it inside which gave me a reading within the 140 MHz range so I think I can tune this thing to hit 2m when mounted on the tower. I have a riser from an old dish tv mount that I am going ro use so I can aim the thing from the horizon to 70° vertical and then it will be on the rotator. This NanoVNA is pretty fucking cool now that I know what I am looking at. #hamradio #diy #antennadesign #stoked
