It really was something I should have done first when I got the printer but I finally did physical leveling yesterday. Ran the ruler around hte plate and found I was 2mm off which showed dramatically on taller items. It didn't take much adjustment but it was enough to get the bed almost perfectly leveled. Pain in the ass but I learned and now know more what to keep an eye out for. Learning is good!

What a difference an adjustment can make. Still sore this morning but not nearly as bad as yesterday or the weekend. The spinal manipulation has to be done to get my body to respond and to mellow out a bit. Tons of stretching is also helping.
Tiny skiff of snow again has the farm coated, but just barely. This is not winter, this is more like a cold spring.

We got the dusting of snow and it kinda held on through yesterday despite the temps warming to above freezing mid day. At least we have a glint of winter though it's more like tease. We're supposed to get a little arctic blast the next days and a bit of snow so it might actually turn into winter finally.
Now to go get my back adjusted so I can finally be productive this week.

We had a pretty nice day with nice strong sunshine mixed with the thick heavy clouds that were speeding past. As we went to soak in the evening a cell came over and dumped a half inch of snow in about 20 minutes. Just enough to coat everything for the 0 degree freeze that is coming the next days.

The deluge of rain made the frozen pen thaw JUST enough for me to dig the hay cage parts out of the icy ground and get them slapped around the new bale. The sheep are more like pigs and they decimate a bale if it isn't enclosed. Goats are worse, but that's partly why I don't have goats.
How bout that #mempool? First time I ever got a 1sat/vb trx to go through on first block.
Pretty damn stoked on the Delta IV rocket print and it will be over 3 feet tall when I get it all done. Trying to devise a means of turning them into actual rockets... They are a bit heavy though and would need some big motors.

THIS is NOT Winter. We had a whole 6 inches of snow the entire month and less than 1.75" of rain. While the mountains around us are getting dumped on this is going to be a weird summer if we don't get more snow and more cold. The fruit trees that need the freezing temps will possibly not set well this year... Here's hoping this month is the turn around.
Quite happy with the Delta II #rocket I printed and put together. 26 inches tall and it looks badass. Working on printing the Delta IV Heavy now.

Just found myself reminiscing about my tritium juggling days. Those 4 years were intense and formative.
Finally tested out my brass catcher I printed and it works PERFECTLY! No more chasing .22 brass all over the farm, which is a serious pain in the snow. Speaking of we are expecting but it seems blown out of proportion this morning. Still I got the snowblower running and ready in case.

Well, the old ram finally died. He was looking like shit the last months and I was supsecting he would go sooner than later. He was old when we got him a decade ago... It does mean the bale I rolled in should last longer now with one less mouth to feed. I really need to butcher a pair of the remaining as well this winter.
Wrestling practice ended up being all of us watching the high school wrestlers in a mini tournament with Colville school. Our chiro and his 10 brothers and father who all have wrestled did an amazing a capella rendition of the national anthem to start it off.

Winter is always a pain when the sun is so low. 47N latitude means the glowy orb is behind the trees so the house gets limited rays for months. That also means I have to go for a hike up the hill if I want to get a good blast of it. This year is insane how little snow we have gotten so far, maybe 4 inches total... Possible Friday but will end up rain for most of it.
Tried vase mode for the first time on #3dprints and have some serious learning to do to get the settings right. I'm trying to make ice like structures for the Dummy 13s to setup a ice climber scene.
