Very grateful for the Nostr community here. 💜🙏 Thank you to all the dreamers, builders, supporters, developers, shitposters, memers, coders, and believers. You all are truly amazing.
Hey Nostr Fam, I’m thinking of selling this antique Gibson Mandolin guitar and before I try and market it on an online exchange I wanted to check and see if there might be any interested buyers here. I’d gladly accept BTC and give you a good deal if anyone is interested. Message me if you want more info video or pics.
This guitar was crafted specifically for American servicemen during World War 1 and was intended for sale at the local PX. These instruments are quite scarce and have often seen considerable use, much like the one presented here. This guitar boasts a fascinating history and remains not only interesting but also highly playable, producing a deep bluesy quality tone and sound.
It was manufactured between 1918 and 1921 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The neck features mahogany with an unbound ebony fingerboard, presenting a distinct V profile. The headstock, does not have any decoration or logos, it does, however, exhibit the characteristic Gibson 'open-book' design. The neck joins the body at the 13th fret, and it has a 24.25″ scale length with a 1.75″ nut width.
The frets on this instrument appear to be original. The body is constructed with a spruce top and maple back and sides, lacking any binding. The top is slightly arched but not carved, displaying considerable play wear. It measures 13 1/2″ wide, and the original finish was named 'Sheraton Brown.'
In terms of hardware/electronics, the guitar has a makeshift bridge that functions well and a period tailpiece patented July 19, 1910. In terms of playability/action, it performs reasonably well and cleanly. Currently has some medium gauge elixir strings on it so the action is a bit high and tight but if you put lighter strings on it would lower the suspension and action. These guitars are known for their period-chunky V neck profile, making them well-suited for early fingerstyle tunes. It’s over a100 years old so it’s definitely got some blemishes and scratches but it has a lot of character, sounds great, and still rocks.

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.

Grateful for growth. 🙏🌱🎶🎧✍🏼
As I’m sitting here enjoying my coffee, reflecting, expressing gratitude and watching the sunrise, I realized a few things…I’m a dreamer by design and I build my dreams in layers much like a mountain. Yesterday I found this first draft of a quick sketch I made on a notepad way back in 2016. I had a spark of an idea and I asked myself, how would I visually design, translate, and represent all the musical art living inside of my mind?
In that moment I set the foundation for my vision and since then I’ve been patiently building. If I’m being real, I’ve stumbled, I’ve spiraled, and I’ve fallen. Many times. But I always get back up on my feet and refuse to surrender. Gravity ain’t got shit on me.😎😂
Plus, it feels good to look back every once in a while, enjoy the view, and witness all the progress I’ve made as I steadily keep on climbing. 🏔️
Shout out to all the other dreamers and builders out there. Y’all are inspirational. See you at the top friends.💜🧡🫡
