In principle, no.

This is my base case. I operate under two principles: 1. Only saving in BTC I can protect myself from the State 2. The State will never simply allow me to save in BTC and be protected against it I have long assumed in time, I will have to find a way to do regulatory arbitrage, and that will most likely mean retiring and eventually dying away from my country. I'd rather do that than give in, to be honest, and I'm totally at peace with it.

This note mixes two things and misses one. The "overnight rate" is the rate at which Fed members, that is commercial banks, lend money to each other for a few hours in order to comply with their central bank mandated daily reserve requirements. Only if a bank is unable to borrow from its peers, which means there is a major problem going on, they would borrow directly from the Fed through the "Discount window". This has a more expensive rate, plus it means you're not doing too hot, so banks want to avoid it as much as they can. In any case, since 2020, the reserve requirement has been and remains ZERO percent. Yes: banks are no longer required to keep any reserves at all. Keeping your money in one of these Ponzi schemes was irrational when the requirement was 10%. Now it's outright suicidal. View quoted note โ†’

Wanna have a real "fix Nostr" conversation? Fix the fucking huge disconnect between my notifications, follows, etc on Nostur vs the ones on Amethyst. "Protocols, not platforms", right?

Is it true what I'm hearing that MSTR actually buys BTC *not* OTC but spot in places like Binance, with USDT? If so, the only reason I could think to do that is precisely to pump the price. Which would make sense strategically.

Bye bye Anthropic Principle! I agree with Sabine -- this sounds like progress. The evidence keeps accumulating, even if the goalposts will undoubtedly keep being moved.

After I bought my last shotgun a few months ago (for clay shooting), I planned to buy another long gun -- rifle or shotgun, was the question. Then the BTC rally started and I paused all my living expenses to stack harder. So, let's discuss theory while we wait for spending times to be back.

I'm waiting to pounce like a vulture the second we dip a fraction of a % because I'm literally 13 dollars short in my bank account to be able to take an offer I'm seeing xD I'm refreshing that MF like someone was giving me a buck every time I hit the button. It's sad and funny at the same time.
