The reason why Bitcoin shines is because it absorbs all of the energy from the Fiat bonfire. image
With the exception of one chapter where selected contributors will share some of their personal thoughts on Bitcoin, we finalized the complete draft of the manuscript for the new book this evening 🥳. Next up, external proofreading, while @mrpixelparanoia makes illustrations.
I hope many of you go to Bergen and enjoy this legendary spectacle, and tell me your stories about it afterwards ❤️. I am so sorry I cannot attend. I spent some of my best years in Bergen in the 90s, smack in the middle of the techno/rave era. I am definitely going next year.
Ordinals seem to be a kind of pollution to the Bitcoin network. But the ordinal polluter pays for the use of the network. It's a polluter pays system that actually might work, depending on how much it costs to pollute, and the value of being a polluter. In comparison, within the fiat money system, the polluter doesn't pay for the pollution. In that system the banks and the central banks pollute when they increase the money supply. They keep all the benefits, and don't have to compensate owners of the money that are left with money that has its value deluted. I guess the question is how much players want to spend on polluting the Bitcoin network in the future. It seems like this also adds to the complexity of the game theory. May, for instance, banks actively seek to pollute the Bitcoin network in order to protect their fiat system? Any thougts on this?
Social engineers are people with hubris, who think they can fix any problem that other people have, manage the economy and plan the society in detail, although they would be uncapable of finding their own genitalia if they were forced to wear a blindfold.
Many people talk about the need for people to study "hundreds of hourd" or even "thousands of hours" before they embrace Bitcoin. I think this can be shortened significantly. Those who read Fraudcoin and the upcoming book on Bitcoin that Mr. PP (not on Nostr yet) and I are working on, will stumble so deep into the rabbit hole that there will be no turning back.
