I got the chance to speak with the owner of a crane and steel construction company owner yesterday. Talked rates, regulatory bloat, private vs government sector trends, and the importance of having meaning in work. Conversations with people more knowledgeable than yourself is truly humbling and great for the soul. Reminds me to continuously try my hardest to stay humble. Have a great day everyone, and have a meaningful conversation with somebody you wouldn't usually.

Imagine what work would look like if measurable time didn't exist. People would be compensated for what they accomplished rather than how long they spent doing so. Bored at work tonight. Finished all my jobs 3 hours early, now to pretend like I am being productive so I can still earn the same money as if the work took me 3 hours longer. If I were compensated by task I would totally be finding more to do right now. Additionally, because I am at a highly bureaucratic government employer there is no hope for a promotion without meeting their charts criteria which is basically determined by age and tenure. So I write to y'all. Hope everyone had a great day.

Paper Bitcoin exists. Imagine what would happen if everyone decided to take their holdings off of exchanges. Even if it is low percentage of Bitcoin that still remains on them, it would create seismic activity no doubt.

Every day I sit through a Keynesian economist lecture. I endure a constant internal debate. Do I succumb to the urge to raise my hand and explain how the framework is flawed, or do I stay silent in fear that the professor will throw a bunch of nonsense terminology back at me in rebuttal and leave me without words. I'm starting to realize which choice will be more embarrassing in the future. #paidignorance
