Im trying to find my own housing (outside the parents basement) but can't find any affordable rentals available. The housing "shortage" in my area has become a big problem as the state now controls a huge amount of the supply and restricts its use for drug users and people that provide under $40,000 of value per year. Thus Leaving no cheap rentals available for non drug addicted, fiscally responsible, hardworking individuals. The people that genuinely fall on life's bad luck I.E. medical bills, sudden disability etc... Are excluded from these state homes and are the people that you see living out of their cars. Today while working on one of these state homes which from personal experience are always disgusting, the tenant that did not leave his house for the duration of the day, copped an attitude with me about how loud my water pump was. Bro, you are stealing from me, And then when Im nice enough to come work for my tax money back that is paying for the installation of your new heating equipment, bought for you by the state, you are going to give me an attitude? If I have ever felt what John Galt felt before he decided to stop caring about helping others, about being a proud person, it would be in that moment today.
