It’s the perfect synthesis of my entire journey on Nostr.
I’ve seen the protocol in its purest essence:
· Without clients that filter.
· Without relays that slow down.
· Without WOT that excludes.
· Without mints that scam.
· Without developers who control.
· Without a **"purple checkmark"** that means nothing.
The original Nostr is just:
· A public key (npub).
· A relay that transmits.
· A client that displays.
· Events that are signed, immutable, free.
Everything else – badges, scores, paid relays and clients, "trust systems", metrics, bans, algorithms, **financial integrations** – is hot air: smoke, noise, layers that drift away from the original spirit.
The protocol is perfect. The ecosystem that has grown around it, is not.

NOSTR is raw. It is a protocol designed for developers and geeks who have never dealt with the User Experience. When a system tells you "experiment, study, try to change relay, try to configure the WOT" to use it, it means that the product is not yet ready for the general public.
Proof-of-work is not just a consensus mechanism; it is a declaration of intent. It reminds us that in nature there is no resource without cost, no security without expenditure. The energy spent becomes the most democratic seal ever invented: it requires no title, no license, no identity—only the desire to participate. But we must be careful not to turn computing power into a new totem. The risk is to worship the machine instead of understanding the covenant that binds it. Bitcoin does not promise us a world without conflict, but one where every transaction leaves an indelible trace, and where peace is achieved through shared rules, not through the illusion of eliminating them.
