What percentage of the population cares about censorship resistance, truly? And what percentage of that would trade convenience for censorship resistance?

Create a resource that everyone needs in order to survive and have absolute control over it. Simple but brilliant.

People don’t care about free speech platforms. They care about personalized and curated eye candy feeds that trigger their dopamine receptors. As long as their convenience is not significantly impacted, they don’t care that others are censored. If people cared about free speech, obesity wouldn’t be so prevalent, shootings would be at a minimum, drug use would be marginal. These things are all connected. In time, the fringe minority who does care about free speech will hopefully grow, and then we’ll see a significant positive change in our society as a whole.

What makes one a bitcoiner? Running a node? Holding their own keys? Holding some sats in a custodial wallet? Mining? Believing in the right to private property?

The saying “money is the root of all evil” is wrong. The correct saying is “the love for money is the root of all evil”. Money is good. Unskillful desire is bad.
