Because most if not all of his wealth is locked up in stocks (if I understand his position correctly). And if he was actually to try and sell those stocks and get a trillion dollars into a bank account or better yet under his mattress, that would have to absolutely crash and wreck everything. I think that would be interesting to hear you talk about. Because it seems like that is part of the whole Fiat illusion. And what Bitcoin in self custody gives people is true wealth: wealth that you actually have. Keep doing what you do. Love the show.

Robinson as a way to test and sharpen my own ‘Austrian’ view of the world, but also to try and listen and understand where are ‘they’ coming from? How do socialist oriented people view the problems and solutions. It is one of the HARDEST books I’ve ever read. Such intellectual rubbish. For example, I just read this gem, “Deferring to the judgment of the free market in allocating resources is morally odious as well as inefficient.” My reaction:

I find the treasure company story really boring. Just stay humble and stack sats. Self custody. But I was sorry to hear you got some heat. Confusing and unnecessary it sounds like. Makes me think of that clip of Sam Altman that was going around recently where he was badgering the interviewer about how he should ‘sell his stocks’ when questioned about where OpenAI’s profit increases (or whatever it was) could come from in order to hit increased projections. Anyway, point is, journalists MUST have the balls to ask hard questions and point out suspicious shit. So good on you to do that. Why was Saylor so upset? Sounds like it wasn’t exactly obvious. Curious. 🐇 And keep up the good work on the show. You’re doing great.

Bryan blew my mind when he says in the interview, “we don’t live in a capitalist society: we live in a socialist one”. I’d always said ‘crony capitalism’ or some such thing like at 27mins in your conversation. But since hearing Joe Bryan I’ve been seeing it differently. Either Joe Bryan in the interview, or someone else in another, makes the point that “you can’t have capitalism with fiat money”. This too blew my mind and really has me thinking every time someone says, “something something capitalism” I think, “no: it’s socialism “. Anyway, just a thought I had to share.
