The climate change issue doesn’t stem from capitalism, the rich, economic growth, Bitcoin, or whatever else. Climate change is caused by various greenhouse gases in the atmosphere that, among other things, lead to rising temperatures. Let’s stop undermining this major climate problem by framing it as class warfare. A few years ago, we discovered that TCE, widely used as an industrial solvent, was highly carcinogenic. We didn’t slap on extra taxes, we didn’t add little red warning labels, and we didn’t blame others. We banned or strictly regulated its use as a dangerous substance.

Culture is important, values are important, motivation is important. But don't try to make me believe that being born in #kw, #ec, #u0, or #dr matters in any way.

An authoritarian government cannot cut off the internet; it can only cut off access to the internet. That means severing the physical layer that enables transmission. They can destroy 4G/5G antennas, cut underwater cables, or shut down satellites, but it is impossible to control all means of transmission. It has become urgent to build new ways to transmit information without relying on centralized and vulnerable structures. The physical layer is one of the greatest vulnerabilities of the internet and the hardest to change. What #Bitchat created for chat, we must do for the entire internet, with greater range, speed, and no trusted third parties. This might be done using Bluetooth, radio, or any other sovereign and individual means of transmitting information. People in every country are waiting for our solution to this weakness.
