I taught 11 digital nomads coliving in Argentina this month all about #bitcoin today! There was a heavy focus on checking our financial privilege and I think I sparked some inspiration in the majority of them; all were surprised at how bitcoin is already advancing human rights around the world and couldn't believe they hadn't known more about it! They were particularly interested in visiting some of the circular economies that exist in the world (this is a group of full-time travellers) and learning how to spend bitcoin there and seeing it first hand. This is so inspiring!! Sometimes I worry though that small scale adoption like this without education is a risky, like people might distrust Bitcoin when the price dips or a technical problem arises with the wallet, which has happened to me more than once when trying to onboard friends (although mainly with custodial wallets, never WoS, but either way) my point is I would love to see more educational efforts happening globally in general, but especially especially ESPECIALLY in conjunction w these initiatives.
