I'm surprised to see more people aren't using zapstore.dev to get their nostr, bitcoin and open source based apps. Maybe it's just that my contacts don't sign in with their nostr ID? I follow over 1000 people, I figured I'd see a few more as contacts.
Don't you want to remove a little more Google from your life? If the play store removes an app, where are you going to get it and keep it updated?
Thanks to all the app devs who have started putting their apps on the store and to the devs who throw their favorite apps on there too.
Also a shout out to Obtainium, but I like to use zapstore first, if possible. 😉

Just a heads up, the main downside is that apps not from the Google store can't use Google Tie-ins like android auto. So fountain.fm, for example, won't have the android auto integration enabled. So you have to make a choice in those rare cases.
