As things progressed, there was little to do as the medical system literally has no supplies or medicine. After she recovered from the amputation of her leg, Heimi and her mom an Aunt visited me in Santa Fe. She loved swimming in the ocean, so I put here on the back of my bicycle and went to the beach. As she got close to the water the sand was impossible for her to walk thru on crutches. So I scooped her up and carried her into the water. We had a wonderful time talking and laughing. She didn't want to get out. She lived quite far from the sea. She passed away a few months later. Thank you Heimi for enriching my life and my spirit.
