Excited to see Oppenheimer Monday. We need movies like this. Something, anything other than cape crap and the regurgitated bowels of the 80's and 90's.

Priest. Normie posts. If I want to hear theories on economics, I'll read a book.
One of the best pieces of advice I ever heard in regard to art: create for yourself. Do what you want. Create for a party of one. Whether it catches on with an audience is secondary, far less important than whether or not you create something beautiful you yourself are willing to stand by.
Nostr embodies this, which is why I've loved being here these past months. All these crazy projects, crazy ideas, labors of love, ideas shooting off into radical directions. I love it, and I'm grateful for everyone building on this protocol.
It really is a shame to load Bluesky and see the number of users there who would derail what makes it a potentially worthwhile project.
But it’s really Nostr or nothing at this point.
Still salty about Apple’s convoluted logic re: zaps.
Oh, hey Canada Wildfires. Just wanted to send your best to Chicago, huh. Cool, cool.
I can't believe how fast you guys build. Keep rocking it, devs.
Entertaining to see the Bluesky community grapple with the realities of a semi-open platform. The whole project is doomed, because I have no doubt they will bend the knee.
Nostr is inevitable.
Nostr is just the superior platform, pure and simple.
Twitter currently folding in on itself.
Kinda blah zapping a profile, but so be it for now.
I’ve said it every 20 or so times I’ve been at Sox Park: good seating is still available, so come on down.

Whether Twitter or Reddit, the motivation is the same: to kill off third-party apps.
Fair enough. Just be prepared for people to use your service even less.
If Apple holds fast, I hope Damus will consider a donation via the App Store, like Signal offers.
Not surprising. That Apple would eventually nag about zapping crossed my mind immediately, given that their hand must be in every cookie jar.
While hitting bitcoiners, I can’t help but wonder if this is actually good for onboarding to Nostr in general, as it removes one non-essential element for Apple users to participate fully in the Damus app experience. Not everyone is a bitcoin enthusiast, obviously. Apple’s predictable greed could have an upside.
Nostr is the best platform out there by far. Growth is important, and while this battle has been lost, the war is far from over.
The weekend is upon us and I hope it’s a great one for you and yours.
Apple is drunk. If they think I'd pay $3,500 for a headset, good luck, and I'm a tech sucker. That kind of money, I'd just kit out a Mac Studio.
I ignored Twitter for a month and just casually browsed Nostr instead. Having returned to Twitter the last couple of days... It isn't long before I'll be Nostr-only.
It will always be the Nuddy Bar, and I'm not budging.
Took me a solid three weeks to go from “why would I want to zap?” to ignoring the like and going straight for the zap.
Have a blessed day out there, Nostr!
