If the most prominent and loudest voices that are willing to publicly support bitcoin are simply massive grifters willing to cheer on fiat wealth extraction from unsuspecting fools and degenerate gamblers then bitcoin has zero hope of ever gaining credibility outside this niche space. In that case there is zero hope of fixing the broken world and we are truly fucked… Best we can possibly hope for is to build a small thriving parallel society

Saw a bunch of end-of-year millstone posts this morning and I thought “what milestones have I achieved this year” I couldn’t think of any particular large achievements that I could add to a list. Haven’t made a baby (sigh). Still haven’t moved out of the ditch I live in. Haven’t released any exciting new software/product.… Yet I feel like I’ve been grinding away for the entire year non-stop. A year of learning. A year of building. A year of training. A year of mental self improvement. A year of consolidation and treading water. Still feel like I’m winning 2025 will no doubt be even more winning… and perhaps some actual achievements unlocked!

People will say we got lucky and they’re probably right… To be alive at a time when a brand new form of money is coming into existence To be open and willing to learn enough about money to understand it To be tech savvy enough and able to spend 12000+ hours studying in order to learn how it works and know enough to build with it To meet and work with some equally crazy (and far more skilled) people and have the opportunity to work with then daily I feel like I am almost the 1% amongst the 1% of bitcoiners.
