I’m curious to know how it will all end (aka develop into a new peaceful world order).
Right now the “haves” are doing alright; they own solid assets such as gold, real estate and #Bitcoin. The “have nots” are struggling, living week to week and gradually turning to lawlessness (I cite shoplifting of what one might call basic goods from stores to back this up).
I can only see this division becoming more extreme before… what? Should I transfer assets to a bank vault? Hire a security guard? Do I have to buy a shotgun? Should I text a fence tipped with razor wire?
How do we transition to the peaceful uplands?
Any thoughts out there?

Round and round it goes,
where it ends everyone knows.
#Bitcoin

GM. I know it’s kind of sad to check the price of #Bitcoin in the morning but some days it really perks me up.
It’s pleasing that some UK politicians are now on Nostr - well done @Rt Hon Steve Baker FRSA.
However, It’s hard to find party affiliations on either his Nostr profile or his website. 🤔
To save you having to search: he was a Conservative MP who lost High Wycombe to Labour in 2024
Are #Bitcoin backed IOUs coming soon to USA?

Sooo close…

Here is the full text of Satoshi Nakamoto’s #Bitcoin white paper. You might have to zoom in to read it, but as a general rule for Bitcoin it’s better if you zoom out.

No schadenfreude, please.

Max Prince was shocked to discover that surprise fees had left him with just £12.39 in his trust fund.
Help!
An update concerning our choir and members of the committee who are worried about #Bitcoin. One opinion was that “a drug dealer from Guatemala might send us 1,000 Bitcoins” and we would be done for money laundering. I have been asked to remove the lightning QR code!!
First, apologies to all Guatemalans.
Second, I would love it if anyone felt like making a small donation to the choir at https://chorale21.org.uk/news/a-21st-century-choir.
@Alby is an awesome #Bitcoin Lightning setup (Hub and Go). I set it up but how to transfer all Sats from @Wallet of Satoshi (sorry guys) to this new, more self-sovereign home? I wanted to transfer everything but was told I had to leave 3% behind for Lightning fees.
The answer, transfer 90%, and then 90% of the remainder, etc, etc. Eventually I was left needing to transfer 20 Sats which took zero fees.
I’ll keep WoS as a super simple demo for when I’m orange pilling people (please don’t judge me) and for accepting Sats from those who have my WoS address.

Thought for the weekend:
Time flies like an arrow,
Fruit flies like a banana.
Some friends and I have set up a choir (chorale21.org.uk). It’s going nicely and now I’ve added a QR code for Bitcoin donations. A committee member has raised a concern that “people ...might be interested in utilizing the bit coin aspect to take advantage of the choir”. It’s going to be a long slow journey…
…and then there was this time that #Bitcoin c-r-a-s-h-e-d from $73,738 down to £63,546.
