My first unit of account was the escudo. Cheap metal coins and warned out bills. Then we switched to euro and we had to change coins and bills. 2000’s: 200,483 escudos to1 euro. The debit card started to abstract the stacks of coins and bills away. Then I moved to the the states and had to convert to the us dollar. 2010’s: 0,85 euro to 1 usd Web banking and apps started to dominate the monetary experience. Enter bitcoin. And now, for the third (and maybe the last) unit conversion I have to go through. 2020’s: 0,002 usd to 1 sat
