Mobile version of nosmero has been completely refactored. It is no longer trying to be 1:1 with the desktop version which was the sole reason it was so buggy. It is now much more stable in either iOS or Android. It's now fine for browsing, posting, and searching. Major change is no tip jar, but it still has a deeplink when you tip so the monero wallet you have on your phone gets populated with the tip info. Have a great weekend!

Long-form articles are now fully live on Nosmero. Write, draft, publish, and edit NIP-23 articles (kind 30023) directly in the client. Full markdown composer with cover images, topics, drafts dropdown, Write / Preview toggle. Articles will render in any NIP-23 client (Habla, Highlighter, etc.) And because Nosmero's theme is helping creators earn XMR, paywalls work on articles too. Same scheme as paywalled notes: AES-256-GCM body, key released after on-chain tx_key verification. And editing reuses the original encryption key, so anyone who already paid keeps access on the new version transparently, no rebuy needed. Readers can unlock from a Nosmero tip jar (one click, instant) or any external XMR wallet (Cake, Monerujo, Feather, monero-wallet-cli) by pasting txid + tx_key (~1 min for confirmation). Also included NIP-84 highlights (kind 9802). Select any passage in an article and use the 📌 button. The article reader picks up every reader's highlights and renders a heatmap — passages glow yellow, warming as more people highlight the same line. New on Nosmero: **-Long-form articles (NIP-23)** Read articles inside Nosmero from a new Articles tab in the feed nav, plus a Notes/Articles tab on profiles. naddr links inside notes render as inline article cards. Bookmark articles alongside notes (kind 10003 'a' tags, per NIP-51). Comments use NIP-22 (kind 1111) so they interop with other clients. (*Writing articles coming soon!)* **-In-app PDF reader for PDFs uploaded to ipfs.nosmero.com (these can be paywalled)** First-page thumbnails on the card, then a full reader with prev/next/zoom. Right panel on desktop, full-page view on mobile. Upload via the compose 📦 modal (new PDF 📕option) or paste a CID.

Also added "Show my own notes" in the Following feed. This can be toggled on and off at the top of the feed or in Settings.

Added a couple of features and squashed a bug: **NIP-65 — Announced relay subset** Nosmero was advertising every write relay in kind 10002, which bloated the nevent strings other clients generated for our notes. Fixed: your relay list now splits into Read / Write / Announced, with only the announced subset going into kind 10002. **Copy as nevent** Now that the announced list is small enough to be useful, there's a Copy as nevent option in the note menu — encodes id + author + announced relay hint into a portable nevent1… string. Also fixed: Copy Link no longer carries /profile into shared URLs, and hash-routed deep links survive page load. Have a great rest of your week!

Muted user profile shows "Posts are not viewable" + one-click unmute. — Bookmarks (kind 10003) — Pinned notes (kind 10001) on your profile. NIP-89 handler discovery: — Nosmero publishes its supported kinds so other clients route events here. — Quoted articles / unknown kinds render an "Open in [client]" card. And fixed a bug so a liked note now flips the heart to red instantly.

📦 IPFS media is now live on nosmero. Insert a CID into a post or "upload" to IPFS instead of the regular media attachment. You can still insert media through the existing process but I added the IPFS option for those with a library of CIDs or if you want to create a shareable link of the file that can open in any browser through the nosmero IPFS gateway. Each npub gets 500 MB of CID pinning (IPFS "uploads"). Click the 📦 in compose → pick a file → post. You can manage what you've "uploaded" to IPFS under the new "IPFS Media" tab in the hamburger menu. *Why IPFS? * Your media stays fetchable from any public gateway (dweb.link, ipfs.io, etc.), not just nosmero's gateway. Updated Nosmero with an IndexedDB feed local cache that makes cold-start much faster when you login. Nosmero is a pure-relay client so when you first login it has to refetch your follow list, profiles, and recent notes from scratch. It can be many seconds of waiting before your feed appears. Now nosmero caches up to 10,000 events on your machine per npub. So when you login next time your feed renders before any relay round-trip. Then a background refresh merges fresh data and re-renders with changes. All cached data is public Nostr content, scoped to your npub and never sent anywhere. No third-party indexer, no privacy tradeoff — just a faster login. Have a great weekend!

What's cool about p2p solutions like Swarmnero is the ability to share files of any size without server hosting concerns. Files are sent from your machine directly to the follower's machine. To protect follower's bandwidth, though, it gives a notice that author's post media is >25MB so can opt in to downloading to your feed. There is a thumbnail preview and fie size to help you make the decision.

Hello Monero Fans: I'm still alive, but nosmero seems pretty stable at this point, with the features I use, and no bug issues. So there has not been a reason to code. I haven't received any feedback recently about bugs. Hope you are all well and still stacking XMR!

Happy Friday Monero Fans! I took a nice little vacation, but I am ready to tackle an issue I discovered. Older tip jars will time out during sync.
