Today my wife suggested something she never has before. We sat as a family and read. I was reading and she wanted to relax and read too, so she called the kids in and made them put their phones away and read for 45 minutes. It truly was a beautiful thing. There was very little complaining and when the time was up we all went about our days. I hope we do this more often. How much do you read? What are you reading currently? We went with my grandfather-in-law to lay his sister to rest in the small town that he grew up in 80+ years ago. He said he went up and down these stairs at least twice a day during school time. It was a really neat school building. He also took us to his childhood home, a 300+ acre farm. It was the last house down a 2-3 mile, one lane gravel road named after his mothers family. He told us about each home and which family members lived there when he was growing up. It was a very sad experience, yet one I wouldnt give up for the world.
