Every element in our accepted narrative of reality feels so warped. It feels as though origin stories as told through oral tradition of generations have been supplanted by modern answers and structures. Everything from the origins of Christmas to the nature of the moon. Even our calendar and accepted measure of time feels distorted. Why is it that it that so many of these fundamental accepted basics all feel distorted just enough to agitate but not revolt over it? Maybe because if we can be gaslit tobbelieve half truths, it opens the door to outright fabrication and manipulation.
