One moment we're helping with disaster cleanup efforts. The next minute I'm categorizing business transactions for @Maple AI . Such is the startup life.

First supply drop off for Sandy Creek Austin Floods. Thanks to all the bitcoiners around the world who donated over $1,100 so far! (Over 0.01 BTC). N America, Europe, Africa, S America! Those are just the ones I know. Thank you! People are still missing 🙁. Yesterday they found the body of a 15 year old boy who played in the band at our rival high school. 😢 We spent $430 on much needed worksite supplies of gloves, contractor bags, goggles, and heavy duty socks. When we dropped them off at RM Baptist they were grateful, “We need these! People drop off other things that we have too much of! Thank you!” People asked for the address again, here it is Bitcoin on chain bc1qe534cgzvwce9j6ljyglu9scjn60uxp4sp5anmu Lightning marks@primal.net Going back in tomorrow to help with cleanup because we got booted today due to danger of another water surge.

We got evacuated from the work site. One of the bridges we use is breaking and we were told a new surge of water is headed our way.

Spread the word. For people affected by the floods, you can call (512) 201-4814 to get the Crisis Cleanup hotline. They'll schedule cleanup crews to muck homes, clear debris, etc. You might get my wife when you call 😄 Everyone else, you can also help by volunteering to answer these phone calls or sign up for a cleaning crew. Link below. (disaster photos are from this morning's livestream from @DocumentingATX on X)

Companies and governments knowingly create storms and at the same time tell us citizens to turn off our cars at red lights to stop affecting the weather. image

Update from the floods north of Austin. I stopped by the Round Mountain Baptist church this morning to help. They have dozens of firefighters performing Search and Recovery. They've asked untrained civilians to stay back from the search itself. While I was there, a young woman interrupted our conversation to report two new names of missing people. The names were added to the list and search efforts continued. 💔 Lots of supplies have been dropped off from clothing to water to food. They are overwhelmed with the response from the community and are kindly asking people to hold back for now. Also communicated a bit with @DocumentingATX on X who has been on the ground since this all started. He said supplies will be needed after Search and Recovery is done and we start to assess what residents really need. He's a great account to follow and support. Thanks to all the amazing Bitcoin friends around the world who have sent in funds, y'all are amazing! I've been both shocked but also not surprised by the outpouring of support. It's what Bitcoiners do! I've been talking with multiple groups to find the best ways to put the funds to use and am being told they will be needed here soon – to sit tight and stay ready.

Good news! 2 girls were just found alive 30 feet up a tree. That's gotta boost spirits of the search crews. image

Spreading the word. If you’re in Austin and want to get your hands and boots dirty, organizations are starting to mobilize. Here’s one from the Salvation Army image

We aren’t sure how to help just yet because the rain is still coming down. I’m reaching out to my local network of people and we are organizing to help when we can. My Bitcoin friends online have asked how they can help. I’ve got a Bitcoin and Lightning address open for donations. Anything given will be spent 100% on supplies like water, food, medical supplies, cleaning products, etc to give out as we help with cleanup. Bitcoin on chain bc1qe534cgzvwce9j6ljyglu9scjn60uxp4sp5anmu Lightning marks@primal.net Here are the balances to start for accountability. Feel free to share this around.

This has hit our area. We are safe thankfully, but there is lots of damage and destruction around. Late last night I drove through the heavy rain to evacuate my kid from a 4th of July party by the river, and 2 hours later those roads washed out. There will be lots of help needed very soon.
