Over the last couple of months, I've been developing a project that has reached a level of clarity where I can excitedly start to share… I've been mapping bitcoin blocks, applying similar methodologies I would use when drafting architectural plans or landscapes. The project establishes a consistent visual language and scale that preserves data integrity, detail and resolution that allows block-to-block comparisons without excessive abstraction. The aim of the work is to create and develop a bitcoin block cartography that explores ways to represent and understand bitcoin, blocks and its history. I’ll start posting more about the project over the next couple of weeks and the various blocks that I’ve begun to map and compare.
