“If you were, say, a lawyer, or a dentist, or an architect, or a professor, you would find that no one needs your skills enough to pay for them”… to paraphrase a line from Adam Fergussons When Money Dies
Great architecture is still being built however often not abundant and wide spread enough as most can’t even afford a home…
#bitcoin fixes this
Always loved the work of H arquitectes
An average of around 5% inflation over 10 years will destroy 40% of your purchasing power.
Uk is on track for an average of 5% for 2020-2030
And 5% is perhaps conservative in some areas…
Lost decade, more like the crushed decade…

Typically we see around 2000-3000 transactions per block,
every now and then you get an interesting block mixed in

Reviewing papers from GF Smith 🤩
I’m considering physically drawing every work with various inks/paper.
Prints just aren’t giving me the quality or flexibility the work needs

Each #bitcoin halving is made up of ten 21,000 block segments (approx 5 months)
Right now we are 4 halvings & 3 segments in, right in the 5th halving cycle.
Block Height: 903000
(4 | 3)
a halving every 210,000 blocks
difficulty every 2016 blocks
For drawing and comparing blocks at regular intervals it feels like there wants to be something in between, like days, months, seasons, years but more related to the protocol,
10 fragments of 21,000 (1/10 halving) perhaps...
or
52,500 blocks (1/4 halving)
or
105,00 (1/2 halving)
I like 21,000 😏

First Image: Early scale studies on #bitcoin block 210,000, playing with non linear scaling
too wild but extraordinary for spreading out the block
Second image: a test print of the halving series, the first four halving blocks at a linear log scale

Bitcoins heart beat every 25,000 blocks
Will keep adding and increasing the block frequency to this animation on the run up to 1,000,000 blocks.

Really like how the Epoch bar is currently sitting and spaced at the bottom of the illustration.
I originally had this spaced really tightly on the physical art works drafts like a bar-code but I had to increase the width for the web tool to make it legible.
I think this style might find its way onto the artworks 😏
