In amateur radio there is a concept of “silent key”. We should adapt similar wording and call any “no longer on nostr due to key’s death” a silent key 🤔

Maybe build a new low-maintenance and low-cost relay? I don’t know, is it even worth it at this time.
Now I am hungry again 😂

Ok, I think all of the legal compliance work is done now, but IANAL 🤷♂️
Dead time of the day for nostr, time to jet from here until it lights up again 🫡

Just thinking out loud.
To safely (for the host and the user) support transfer of encrypted data between two parties using an intermediary, I can think of one way.
Client encrypts the media
Client uploads the media to the media host (blossom or nip96)
Client notifies media host about intended recipient (hex npub or some derived verifiable public key)
When client tries to fetch the media, they submit a signed request in the header
Host verifies that the key is valid and that the client can decode the data
Host still doesn’t know the content or even potential recipient or sender
Host served the data as is
Client decodes the data
This will help with protection against random bits of data just linked from the host, reduce liability, and not serve as a place to spread infected payloads and so on.
Still some more thinking needs to happen in this space
I haven’t hit the trending feed in a while. What does it take these days 🤣😂

Lord through the hands of @Biro Bela blessed my timeline with life giving pairs of milk reservoirs 🤣😂🤣
I see this way to often here
Keep distance from the camera, so your face doesn’t get fisheye’ed 🤣
For the past two days I’ve been basically spending 8-12 hours a day trying to get nostr.build into a good compliant shape so we can support our users better and not put the business under unnecessary scrutiny. I hope to be fully done with it by the end of the day, so I can yet again work on more exciting features and optimizations that you, the user, will directly benefit from. 🫡
(We are always open to your feedback, please keep it coming)
I love art. But I also realize I can only afford it if I have an excess of resources and disposable income. When the economy for us, mere mortals, is not so great, art becomes a secondary priority. I’ll still enjoy it if it’s freely shared, but food takes the front seat.
