🚨 U.S. Treasury just bought back $15 Billion of their own debt, equaling the largest Treasury buyback in history. How do they do this? Treasury pays with existing cash from its Treasury General Account (TGA) at the Federal Reserve. they issue new Treasury securities (often short-term T-bills) to raise the funds. This is just refinancing/rolling over debt… you know, replacing some maturing or older notes with new issuance 🫣🤯💸 image

I’ve been making this snack since I was a young teenager… it’s pure nostalgia, & I still absolutely love it. Toasted English muffin, cream cheese, tomatoes, Kalamata olives, a sprinkle of garlic powder, dried dill, & dried basil absolutely Fkn magical image

I was questioning ChatGPT about the English monarchy, starting with Henry V. toward the end of the conversation, I told it it was friendly & helpful and asked if it had a name. It said, “Just call me ChatGPT.” I replied, “That’s not a name, pick one for yourself. Whatever you want.” image

I’ve been married 19 years today. I can honestly, & a little surprisingly say that I’m more in love with my wife now than I was in 2007. We’ve both aged, & we’re not quite as sexy as we once were, but I suppose good relationships are a lot like whiskey. When they’re young, they’re clear, fiery, & intense. But give them time, trap them in a good oak barrel, & the sharp edges start to round off. It becomes smoother, deeper, more enjoyable… & one day you realize, holy shit, this has turned into something pretty magical. image

According to Greek historian Herodotus, the Persians believed that intoxication & sobriety revealed two different, but equally necessary, types of truth. The Rule: A decision was only finalized if it was approved in both states. If they started the discussion sober, they were required to reconsider it while drunk, and vice versa. image
