Day 9
Scouty went to doggy day care.
We went to Wet’n’wild
Sun, swimming and slides.
Living in a Caravan:
Hot Tip number 2.
Everyone has jobs for pack up and pack down.
Assign everyone tasks, they do it each and every time in sequence.
Everyone knows their job, what needs to be done and when to do it.
After just a week on the road we have setup and pack down pretty streamlined. (Mind you we have owned this van for a few years now, so it is not foreign to us)
The kids have their jobs and love being involved in the process.
I make sure to thank them individually for their help and let them know how much their efforts contributed and how grateful I am.
Living in a caravan:
Hot Tip number 1.
Your inbuilt toilet is for number 1’s ONLY!!!
You DO NOT want to live in a portaloo. It WILL start smelling like one, regardless how much blue loo you use.
We have a strict number 1 rule only UNLESS it’s an absolute emergency. In which case it is cleaned at the earliest opportunity.
The use of blue-loo liquid or tablets are a must.
These are our preferred:

Day 8
Scouty (dog) went to a friends place while the fam went over and hungout with Bitcoiner’s on South Stradbroke Island while I played a gig.
4 hours of tunes with an epic crowd. Still can’t get over the turnover of people there. Absolutely amazing venue and staff.
Scott and his wife are Bitcoiners and do an amazing job of running the resort.
Just a magic day.

Still my favourite coffee mug.
It’s all true, especially the last point…. ;)

After one week into our travels I am already much more relaxed, far less anxious and stressed and definitely less neurotic.
It’s amazing how much those things creep into every day life.
And a week long holiday here or there doesn’t feel the same.
And Bitcoin has honestly made all these symptoms lessen over time.
Once your basic needs are being met, you can start to really enjoy life.
It’s an amazing feeling.
At this stage I have only committed to 7months away from the fiat mines before I have to go back for another 5 that I committed to while we continue homeschooling and travelling in the van for a full 12 months. But honestly, I am not sure I will ever be the same after this…..not sure I can go back.
I’ll post regular updates on our family travels this year here on NOSTR and only on NOSTR.
I can’t promise they’ll be interesting or entertaining. But NOSTR is the only place worthy of such content for me.
We are home schooling the kids while travelling Australia for the next 12mths.
Feel free to follow along if it interests you. We are one week in and fucking loving every second of it.

After a few months of eating pretty badly I’m back on the health kick.
Meat-based carnivore diet is the best way to eat….period.
Day 4
Starting to settle into holiday mode.
We had done 2 x walks, 2 x lookouts, schoolwork, groceries and filled up the car all by 10am.
Rest of the day was sun, surf and sand.
Couple of swims, soccer practice down in the sand.
Steaks and home made sweet potato fries in the air fryer for dinner….
Walk after dinner and now ready for bed….
If this is what the next year is going to be like….. I am all for it.

Day 3
490km
6.5hrs
Routed successfully around some pretty terrible weather.
Still in QLD but got to the surf today.
Home school done.
Swam in the surf all arvo.
This is living. Might stay here a few days.
Magic
This kids have been homeschooling for about a week now. 1-3hours a day (usually done in 2).
They’ve been doing it in the car. They ask us questions, we talk through solutions, question them about their thought processes. Guide them, encourage them.
Eldest did a crossword puzzle for English in about 10min. Wife said, based on her experience in the school system, that activity would have taken at least an hour.
We know exactly what they are learning, where they are at, their level of understanding.
We are loving it so far.
@Daniel Prince
Day 2
