Some people fear speaking in public; I feared doing the front crawl 🏊♀️ in public.
No joke, I’ve had this fear for decades, since elementary school swimming class.
Treading water, breaststroke, no problem. Front crawl, I feel out of control, like I can’t breathe.
And since I’ve always been pretty good at sports in general, my ego prevented me from practicing a discipline that doesn’t come naturally to me.
Anyway, my daughter is learning how to swim, so I decided to face my fear as a sign of support.
It wasn’t so bad 😂
My little girl doesn’t realize how much she helps me.
