Bell 0.10.0 is out. Each post now has Reply, React, Read and More. More adds public spam reports and Hide post alongside existing actions; Hide post hides a single post on this device and can be undone. You pick the signing account for public actions; watch-only accounts cannot sign. Reports don't remove content from Nostr. Long posts start collapsed at eight lines.

Bell 0.9.0 is out. A new unread view, turned on or off with the envelope icon, ends at "All caught up," and your history stays intact. Long-press a post to select it, add others or select all, then mark them read. Notification threads now show the path to the new reply first, the composer grows above the keyboard, and Bell checks more carefully when it cannot confirm a send. Keys stay in Amber.

Bell 0.8.0 recognizes Nostr references inside web links, including percent-encoded references and hex routes labelled as events or profiles, and shows them as names and previews. The reply button no longer flickers to disabled during refreshes. Controls on read notes are now dimmed and desaturated, and reply and reaction still work. The composer now asks the keyboard to capitalize sentences.

Bell 0.7.0 brings Bamboo, a soft wooden tap, as the notification sound for new installs. On upgrade, sounds you chose and alerts you silenced or changed stay as they are, and what changes depends on your Android version. The black reaction heart now has a black fill and a thin neutral outline that follows its shape, with no white backing. The red ring still appears only after delivery is confirmed by a relay acknowledgement or verified relay echo.

Bell 0.6.0 is available on Zapstore. Pictures, audio and video linked in posts now appear inline. Audio and video never autoplay, and each file is limited to 32 MiB. Profile and note references become readable names and event cards. Reactions get a red ring once delivery is confirmed, and the black heart is easier to see. Tapping a profile picture copies that person's npub.

Bell 0.5.0 is out. A reply shows "Sent" only after a public relay acknowledges it. Seeing a reply in Bell's open timeline clears its notification but leaves it unread; choosing a reaction marks the post read for the receiving accounts in your current view. New and off by default: Bell can use Citrine on the same device as a local cache of public events. Update on Zapstore:

Bell 0.4.0 is available. Changes since 0.3.0: Data Saver is on by default on metered networks. Public NIP-51 mutes now collapse posts, with an option to reveal them. Favorite emoji send with one tap, and the account switcher has moved to the top left. Notifications stay unread when you open them. Relay connections are steadier and event checks are stricter. Full notes are in the 0.4.0 post. nostr:

Bell 0.3.0 adds a Mark read control that dims posts in place. Replies and reactions mark their source post read once a relay accepts them, and a short checkmark replaces relay counts. The sender shown on a row now carries into Reply along with your draft. References show cached names and short previews where available, text can be selected and copied, and signed deletion requests from a post's author are honored. Also new: a Unicode emoji catalog with per-account favorites, and dictation through an installed offline speech engine. Download:

Bell 0.2.0 for Android: the shared timeline leaves out your connected accounts' own posts (they stay as conversation context), and the controls are compact icons with a sender-avatar account picker. Profiles are cached on the device, and older history loads in bounded batches when you ask. There's also an opt-in developer logging setting. Its records leave out keys and content. Download:

Bell 0.1.0 is the first release of an Android app for the conversations around your Nostr posts. Replies, quotes and the threads beneath them, from all your connected accounts, gather in one chronological list. Any row opens the available conversation tree, which marks context that is missing or still loading. Sign in with Amber or watch a public key. Every reply and reaction shows a fixed, visible sender, and grouped alerts are optional. Download: https://blossom.primal.net/90317a15bcee25cf797d5073b5213dc93ff313e28d3553ba3d6f78fecb77b900 Source:
