Back home after 2 months in Canada helping my mom jump administrative hoops to get hip replacement surgery. Home for 3 weeks before going back up to help with travel to the surgery center in a different province, post-op, travel home, and a few months of rehab. I’m so grateful I’m retired and have the time to be able to do this for her. All the flower photos I’ve been posting were from her garden. She’s very much looking forward to getting back out there once this process is done. This hibiscus (whose flower was larger than my hand) was at a shopping center Boyfriend and I visited yesterday for ice cream and a bookstore. #blooming #flowerstr #family

You know how you can put a pair of socks in the dryer and sometimes only one sock comes out? Like some kind of dryer tax? I think the dryer gave me someone else’s refund because this is not my sock.

Last June, I could walk about 2,000 steps (less than 1 mile/1.5 km) without my right foot getting painful. I started adding 500 steps (almost) every month. Every day, this stump has a new white lump of ….. something on it. According to a brief online search, the something is non-toxic Dog Vomit Slime Mold (Fuligo septica). Having started reading the fourth Dungeon Crawler Carl book, it’s far more creepy than it should be. ☠️
