Binge finished the Korean drama “Doom at Your Service” on Netflix. Premise is a woman who has 3 months to live due to brain cancer makes a contract with Doom (Death/Destruction/bad stuff that happens to humans). She finds out, after the fact, that there’s a severe consequence if she breaks the contract early - the person she loves the most will die…. so in order to save the world and herself, she tries to fall in love with Doom. The variations of how they both try to manipulate and deal with the terms of the contract is the bulk of the show. Some light comedy, much more drama and feelz, so have the Kleenex box nearby for the last few eps. There’s also a substory of the woman’s best friend figuring out her own love triangle. The characters are interesting and Doom’s house is *amazing* in a seriously singular-vision interior designer way. Some of the extreme traits for the side male characters gets annoying to me, but I’ll assume it’s for comedic effect for the intended Korean audience. The pacing felt weird at times, but there are enough moments that mattered for me to keep watching. Went to a quilt show this afternoon. Amazing, amazing, amazing. Lots of original designs as well as made from patterns. Seeing the same pattern in different colors with different quilting patterns shows how much the individual creates the final outcome. The eagle is a panel (printed design); the quilting is the stitching that goes completely through the quilt and holds the batting (middle fluff layer) in place between the two sewn outside layers. And the creativity and detail of the quilting on and around the eagle was like nothing I’d seen before. I spent about 45 minutes walking around, taking photos, talking with the quilt club guides. Small amount of effort on my end for a great reward of inspiration and fun. Art is Everywhere. Anyone can create Art. #art #artstr #quiltshow #quilting

Tl;dr - the boxes in the photo contain art I created during the labeled years (The Dream Big box has art from 2020). If you have a preference, comment which year you want me to use for daily art posts. Long Version: I give myself a week to do a Thing from its initial note in my bullet journal. If, at the end of the week, I have not done the Thing, I reassess to see if I just Need To Do It Now or it letting the Thing go, at least at this time. Which is how, after being excited to go to a bigger sketchbook, and buying a new sketchbook, and having only drawn a single sketch, I’ll letting daily sketching go for now. 👋 But I still like sharing daily art I’ve created. 🎨🖌️✏️🖊️ Thus the photo of the boxes, and my plan to share daily art of past years. It’ll also help me because looking at what I’ve made years after the fact is a very different experience than looking at it immediately after I’ve finished. Especially since I prefer to work on “projects,” reviewing many artworks with a single theme lets me decide which I really like, don’t like, and notice any trends I may want to incorporate into future art projects.
