I’m gonna build a Bitcoin mining skoolie and go nomad. ☀️🚌⛏️ Target is 2027, In the meantime mining hardware retro-fitter. ⛏️
The StealthMiner S19/21 120v retrofit enclosure project is now open to everyone. This one outfitted with full kit.
Months of rewiring the bus chassis is finally done. All built in ignition shutoff safety’s have been bypassed/removed. Before I rewired it all, I had a phantom drain and the batteries would die in 1-2 days; now she fires right up after sitting for 4 weeks.
🚌 build progress. - Sanding - Swap sheet metal screws for rivets and prime all flasher deletes - More sanding - Deleted other rear window - ran wires for cameras - even more sanding - repaired windshield wiper fluid delivery systems - reinstalled dash
Late night shenanigans. 5v10a buck in a Slim19 powering a Bitaxe touch. image
It’s so wild to me that I’m essentially building a luxury apartment on wheels that will mine Bitcoin. Fuck a bug-out bag, Ima have a bug-out house. We dubbed it “BlackBird Skoolie” and I maybe finalized the “logo” today for it.
Serious progress on solar reconfig: system back online and 4/5 arrays connected tonight. 840AH of battery and 4kw of panels. Gonna be glued to the numbers tomorrow I already know it. Well that’s a lie, I’ll be too busy ripping windows out of the bus. image
After a period of being nomadic that we plan to begin in 2027, we are building an earth-ship once we settle on retirement property/location.
The love of my life asked “can I steal the new miner for the salon today?” The answer was yes ofc. It got cold last night after shutting down 2 of the basement installed [heaters] last week and she needs a warmer room to process hair color correctly. _________________________ If you are first seeing this: S19J Pro with @CryoByteLabs block installed and utilizing 2x 240mm rads all mounted on a modified mine4heat.com aluminum extrusion and powered by a 120v modded APW12. /// Yes it is quite the quiet circuit breaker /// image
Updates to GitHub coming shortly for Slim19. A proper cover for the electrical connections that can also carry a WiFi bridge.
Bus updates from yesterday. Small picks at electrical while I have the dash out again and my love does some body work to the rear door surfaces that will remain exposed.
Slowly but surely. Mining hardware dev side quests are soon coming to near halt to focus on StealthMiner production and bus only.
@m0ntan1 can maybe vouch. Every time I slide the Slim19 insert in it feels like I’m loading a hash magazine 🤣 image
