I feel like modern economists have become really really good at being really really wrong. It would be funny if this did not ruin life for almost everyone. Growth for growth sake, debt based money creation, etc.

I was walking around this morning and had this thought that all around us is all cardboard. Nothing is real or built to last. Cardboard money cardboard car cardboard house cardboard relationships cardboard food as well. As my friend @Cowboy Bill would probably say, this is the synthetic stack around us. If only we had something that would focus our energies for the long term and not for the short term. Also I recommend reading the grip of death book.
